Meeting the Ghosts Internship

I completed this Internship in the Summer of 2021. The company Canvas, Presents! hired three animation interns to aid in the development of an independent animation project. The Animation was going to be set to a new composition, and would follow the live of fictional Jewish-Dutch Accordion player from childhood to adulthood. It would combine the lives of three real Jewish composers who lived in or near Nazi-occupied Amsterdam during World War II. I was in charge of a man named Leo Smit, a pianist and composer. I researched him, his house, drew references of gestural poses playing the piano, and a full turnaround.
Each Intern was also in charge of creating visual references based on photos of Amsterdam from the proper time period. We collected historical photos and drew lampposts, post boxes, cars, and more.
I specifically was tasked with drawing each facet of the houses/apartment buildings of two of the composers. I created a drawing of each face of each building for my supervisor, Julia Veldman, to compile into a 3D object in Photoshop.
